The decision was finally taken in the cabinet today. Deshmukh had tweeted that the police recruitment process would be completed by the end of December. Therefore, the schedule of police recruitment process is likely to be announced soon.
Corona’s big crisis in front of the police
The state is currently facing a major crisis over Corona. Thousands of Maharashtra Police personnel have been infected with corona so far. In the last six months, more than 200 police personnel have been killed by corona. This includes more than 15 officers.

According to the Maharashtra Police three days ago, 18,890 personnel, including 2,050 officers, have been infected with corona in the state so far. Of these, 14,975 have overcome corona. At present, 3,729 people are undergoing treatment. This includes 461 officers.
